Ive just got back from A&E after having suffered from a sharp pain down the whole of my left arm, palpitations felt in my chest and neck, and shortness of breath. After 5 mins of this I called a paramedic, but over the course of the next half hour my symptoms subsided to nothing. Aside from a slightly high bp, I had nothing wrong with me. ECG was fine and blood tests showed nothing of interest. I am a 20 a day smoker and am overweight for my 6'3" frame. What should I be looking for as a cause?
After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that you should get basic cardiac evaluation done which includes ECG and a echocardiography and also get a Holter analysis done. If everything come back normal then smoking induced gastritis can be a diagnosis .
Hopefully this information will guide you properly.
Kind Regards Dr. Bhanu Partap
