What Causes Palpitations And Low Blood Pressure Levels?
What is is called when the heart is beating too fast and the blood pressure goes down, but the enzymes show there was no heart attack? The ER used Adenazine to stabilize the heart rhythm. No blood clot was found but he had a lot of pain in the left shoulder starting the morning of. Thank you.
This is really a difficult and delicate case. Should analyze each parameter.
Low blood pressure is causing too fast heart beats. As the bp is getting reduced, the heart starts working too fast to raise it as a normal physiological response.
The real problem is what is causing his blood pressure to get down? If no heart attack then look for any other:
- internal hemorrhage?
- not eating properly?
- painful situations are usually associated with increased blood pressure and not reduced bp.
- anemia?
So, a complete blood and biochemistry panel should be run to determine the right diagnosis first together with abdominal ultrasound, and Xray of the shoulder and vertebral spine (neck and chest area - CT).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Albana Sejdini,
