What Causes Palpitations And Disorientation After Quitting Lamotrigine?
My wife has been on lamotrigine for a year and a half to treat bipolar disorder. 200mg daily About a week ago she decided to stop taking it and not tell me. Today she came home crying and said her head felt like it was going to explode. She said her mind was racing and had been for 2 days. Severe manic episode. She seemed disoriented, rattled, and scared. I ran her a warm bath and she listened to soon soft music and calmed down. She feels she definitely needs to start taking it again but is not sure she should start a 200mg dose daily after missing 6 days. Would it be ok for her to begin her regular dose again after missing that many doses?
