What Causes Palpitations And Chest Pain?

I had some heart palpitations the other day and I felt tired so I went to sleep and got I woke up to my heart racing with chest pains and pins and needles all over my body to the point I couldn’t move or speak. Then there was this pain in my right arm like something was tracking up my arm, the pain was awful. But after 5 minutes I was fine. Any idea what it was?

hi sir/mam,some more details like your age,any history of diabetes, hypertension are necessary to arrive at an appropriate diagnosis.still as your symptoms appear typical, let me mention some causes :
1)first and foremost is angina.this has to be ruled out as early as possible due to potential risk of recurrence or development of myocardial infarction.for this you need to undergo ECG,2D ECHO,TROPONIN LEVELS.
2)anxiety can also present with a similar picture.
to my patients,I would never take a chance but advise for cardiac evaluation.hope you understand that a GP consultation and undergoing the above mentioned investigations can’t be neglected.any other health queries, kindly write to us.l’m always there to address your concerns.thank you.take care.bye.
