What Causes Painful Swelling Of Breasts After A Mammogram?

About a year and a half ago I had a mammogram done,my doctor told me that I needed to have another one done, because they saw something there so I had another one done and had to have a lump removed,it came back benign, but last Friday I had to have my yearly mammogram done again, this time they told me I need to come back in again, but after the mammogram was done I came home and my breast got swollen and is really painful I can t wear a bra and I have to have another mammogram and ultrasound done tomorrow, I m just concerned about the pain, because it s right where they told me that they had concerns about, and don t want the pain to get worse, but my main concern is why do I have the swelling and pain in that area?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, such pain after the surgery of benign lesion is very likely and this may be due infection and soft tissue inflammation after the investigation if nothing comes out anything specific then it is nothing to worry, hope this information helps, take care.
