Hello,
I have gone through your query. In the current scenario, it appears as though you are experiencing dysmenorrhea. Causes could be several, but, the symptoms of pain over the right suggests a possibility of ovarian pain. A sonogram of the pelvis can show if there is any ovarian cyst which may or may not have ruptured. The bleeding which you saw prior to the onset of your period is premenstrual bleed, which sometimes occurs with a hormone deficiency. The fact that the bleeding ensued after you strained is important to be noted. This can happen with polyps and cysts. Please get further help from a specialist in person. Hope this helps.
