What Causes Painful Lymph Node In Groin?

My 6 daughter year old daughter has a large lymph node in her groin? A tiny bit painful, I can feel a few others around the area. Noticed it a few days ago, she well in herself no colds. She does have a verruca and possibly 2 others coming up could this be the cause? Waiting for blood tests - feeling nervous.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI,
I understand your concern.
Lymph nodes in groin suggest infection in the region drained by the lymph glands in the area... they are the/ lower abdomen/ buttocks / lower extremity/ perineum ( anus/ urethra & surrounding region.)
_ infection/ inflammation of such lymph node may result in infection of the lymph node itself.
Take her to your family doctor, he will examine her to know the root cause.& treat her accordingly... as in such condition, just treating the lymph node only is not sufficient, to remove the basic cause is important.
She may need a course of suitable antibiotic with anti inflammatory pills along with local dressings/ incision & drainage as per need.
Thanks.
