What Causes Painful Cough And Sore Throat?
Lately I have been having a painful cough..It's coming from my chest and it's like a loud hacking and makes my throat sore...my younger sister had whooping cough last summer, and she was vaccinated BEFORE she got it. We were all vaccinated that same week, could I have whooping cough?

After one year of vaccination there should no chance of getting whooping cough.
Your sister might have had it but now after a year it doesn't seem to be.
You should get examined and treatment for cough.
There could be many reasons for cough light infection , allergy.
YOu need to be examined to conclude for the cause.
