What Causes Painful Bump On Back Of Thigh?

Hi! I have this red extremely painful bump on the back of my thigh. I tried popping it but the only thing that comes out is a clear liquid sometimes tinted with blood! It s been there about three days and is quite large and I can barely walk because of it! What is it and what can i do?

Dermatologist 's  Response
According to your complaints it seems to be furuncle which is bacterial infection of the hair follicle.
You need to take oral and topical antibiotics and anti inflammatory medicines.
I would recommend you to take capsule cephalexin 500 mg twice daily for 5-7 days and apply neosporin ointment or mupirocin cream on the affected area twice daily for 7-10 days.
Also take tablet ibuprofen.
