What Causes Painful Brown Spot On Tonsil When On Medication For Bronchitis?

I have been sick for about a week now. I went to the hospital and they said I had bronchitis. They gave my antibiotics, cough syrup, and an inhaler. I'm on the 4th day of my antibiotics and a brown spot showed up on my left tonsil and it is very painful to swallow. What is it from? And what should I do?

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
You are mostly having tonsillitis.
Tonsillitis (infection in tonsils) is very common. It is also commonly associated with bronchitis.
It needs antibiotics for treatment.
Along with antibiotics do following things.
1. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated.
2. Do warm water gargles 5-6 times a day.
3. Start antihistamines and anti inflammatory drugs.
Rinse your mouth thoroughly after inhaler use. This is very important because inhaler's mist can deposit on tonsils and can give rise to infection.
So better to clean your mouth after inhaler use.
If you are still not improving with all these then you need to consult ENT doctor and get done surgical drainage of infection.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
