What Causes Painful Bleeding From Ears After Ear Tube Insertion?

My 1 year old had tubes put in 2days ago. Last night i noticed her right ear was bleeding pretty bad. Called the on call dr. He didnt seem worried.. Bleeding continued throughout the night and throughout the day today. My daughter keeps holding her ear and screaming in pain. Took her to the childrens er and they said they believe the tube dislodged itself and they saw a blood clot. They instructed me to continue with the antibiotic drops and call ent first thing monday morning. Why would this happen, and can it cause any kind of damage?

Hello

Please dont worry , as i dont think any serious damage has been caused and the bleeding will stop soon. The bleeding could be either due to tube dis lodgement or due to an infection and will subside in some time.
Please meet your ent doctor for confirming this and continue using your antibiotic ear drops.
Thanks
