What Causes Pain Under Toe And Numbness With History Of Broken Foot?
Hello, in 2011 I broke my left foot the 5th metatarsal bone. I was in a cast for 4 weeks. My next to the last toe has been numb ever since on that foot. On and off since 2011 it has been painful underneath my next to the last toe and especially when walking. What is causing the pain underneath my toe? thank you shelly
I have studied your case and i think that numbness and pain can be due to different conditions. I would suggest you to show it to a orthopaedic doctor and get foot x ray and if needed MRI of the spine. I think that due to old fracture there can be change in the shape of the foot and that cause such pain. If there is some thing like that than you might need foot modifications. If every thing is normal with the bone than it can be due to bursitis or planter fasciitis. For numbness it can be a neuropathy or nerve compression. MRI will show if there is nerve compression in the back. I would recommend you to take Pregabalin and Methylcobal tablet for it. Also I would suggest you to check your blood sugar and thyroid function test. I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions. thanks.
