What Causes Pain On The Tip Of Penis?

Hi my 3 years and a half year old son ,has a unconfort and complaint of mild pain on the tip of his penis as it looks bit red,I took him to the Urology and she recommend to cut the skin that is attached to the gland or wait till he feels better but might take time ,is it really necessary to do that? thanks

Greetings of the day

Its likely that your baby is having Balanoposthitis that is inflammation of glans and prepuce(skin covering it). It would require circumcision in some moses.
Majority of the cases can be managed by the following ways
1. Hot seitz bath: To tub of lukewarm water add handful of common table sal. Make the baby sit in it for 15 minutes twice a day
2. Betnovate ointment : After the bath, pull back the skin and apply ointment to tip of skin, replace back the skin.apply it twice a day
