What causes pain on the right thigh?

Yes, I have a dull ache pain in my right thigh on the outside, I suffer from lumbar stenosis, and am thinking this is another issue that has arisen, I am questioning whether this could be a blood clot in the leg or just the results of nerve restriction

The pain you are experiencing in unlikely to be a blood clot. A blood clot in deep veins of the leg is characterized by leg and calf pain, with redness and swelling.
