What Causes Pain On The Left Side Of The Tongue?

For the past few days I've been experiencing pain on the left side of my tongue. It would hurt when I would chew and swallow food and talk (half of the time). Recently I've been experiencing pain at the back of my teeth, causing even more pain when I eat my food. I was wondering if this could be symptoms of wisdom teeth coming in (I think they are coming in) or something worse?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per your complain pain in side of tongue on chewing, swallowing and also pain in back teeth can be probably related to erupting wisdom tooth that many a times causes infection in the gum flap that is present around the tooth..

It can cause inflammation in surrounding tissues leading to pain especially during eating, swallowing etc..

Consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and an x ray can further help in diagnosis..
As of now gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine before meals..
Take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen..
You can do warm saline gargles..
Take a soft diet..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
