What Causes Pain On The Bottom Of The Left Foot?

Hi! I am a runner. I did a 10k last Sunday and felt pretty good. Since then the left side of the bottom of my left foot (so lateral plantar surface) is really sore. The pain extends from my lateral heel, up to the ball of my foot. It hurts when I walk or stand. I m really hoping you don t say it could be a stress fracture, even though I know that could be a possibility. Is there a muscle or tendon that I injured on that side? Thanks!

hi sir/ madam,
welcome to Health Care Magic,

I can certainly understand your concern towards your pain on the left foot, i could understand that there is a possibility of some injury, as you are having severe pain which is radiating, its better to go for x-ray of left foot , both AP (antero-posterior) and lateral views to rule out any injury, in the meanwhile you can start some painkillers ie ACECLOFENAC, for temporary relief,
hope this information would help you.

please post your further questions if any
thank you
