What Causes Pain On Right Side Of Jaw And Face With Sore Throat?

Hi. For the last couple of days I have been getting pain/aching mainly on right side of jaw/cheek area and face. Sometimes makes or eye throat feel sore and centralised throb bing between my eyes. Sometimes feel it in my cheek bones. Pain can come in waves, then eases off for a minute or so. Seems more consistent now. Had had a sore throat for two weeks previously and sinus type discomfort on and off prior to that. Wondered if it might be sinusitis but not congested and no temperature.
Do you think I need antibiotics or will it resolve in time?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that pain on face along with pain in between the eyes and also sore throat and sinus like discomfort is most probably due to infection in the sinuses leading to Sinusitis ..

Sore throat seems to be due to post nasal drip from infected sinuses that is leading to throat infection and irritation.

I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like PNS view x ray or MRI scan can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

You can be advised a course of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, decongestants like Pseudoephadrine, do saline nasal irrigation, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
You can also be advised decongestant nasal sprays containing Xylometazoline or Oxymetazoline..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
Do warm compresses around nostrils..
