What Causes Pain On Right Side Of Groin Area?

Hi Doctor I m 38 year old male. Several months ago I had urinary problems. Frequency and unable to empty bladder. Primary care doctor said I had blood in urine although not visable to naked eye, she gave me anti- biotics. After 3 weeks symptoms seemed to go away, she said I still had trace amounts of blood in urine and take anti-b for one more week. but symptons had returned with in a week. Had psa test came out at 3.5 also prostate exam and was fine. I then saw urologist 2 months ago he suggested possible kidney/bladder stones so had ct scan but came back negative. All threw this I had noticed a mild pain in right side of groin, it seemed to be more noticeable when driving, I thought was just a muscle pain. For the last 3 weeks this pain is constant, although mostly mild and also my urinary symptons have returned but not as bad as before. I have another appointment with urologist but not for a month. Any advice please doctor.

Hello Greetings
Thanks for posting the query on HIM. After going through the query I would like to comment the following
1. You currently seems to be suffering from recurrent urinary tract infection
2. Considering that your CTscan is normal your doctor has told you about blood in urine once that is very much suggestive of infection
3. It may be either due to reflux uropathy or bladder outflow obstruction
4.Investigationso that could help would be IVU and Urine culture and sensitivity test
5. Keep yourself hydrated have plenty of fluids orally 5-6 ltrs a day
6. Good antibiotics cover with supportive care can get rid of the trouble you are facing.

I hope I have answered your query.I am glad to answer follow up queries if any. Please accept my answer if you have no follow up queries
