What Causes Pain On Left Side Of Jaw While Chewing Food?
I am A 77 old female, in pretty good health. I have been experiencing pain in the left side of my jaw area for about a month or so. A number of years I did the same. It occurs while a eat and chew. I was told it is the gland that causes mumps and I should just eat something sour. Should I see my internet for this or wait for my annual check up in April? Thank you.
I would suggest you to consult oral surgeon for proper examination without waiting for your appointment because to prevent it from becoming complicated . Doctor will take history and may order test like X-ray CT scan and MRI to find out exact cause . Doctor may give night guard or prescribe muscle relaxant . For now start physical therapy of face and eat soft food .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
