What Causes Pain In Toe?

I have an ark of moderate pain and what appears to be an arced bruise on the underside of my left big toe. 3-4 Days ago I suddenly felt a sharp pain there and thought I saw a dark hairline black arc somewhere under my skin, but figured I was over reacting. I can walk on my one fine most of the day as long as I walk on it normally and dont roll my toe or walk on the side of my foot/toe. On the middle and innermost end of the arc the arc seems to have points - almost ike a blood blister, but way under my skin. Any way to know what this is?
