What Causes Pain In The Urethra After A Laser Treatment?
Hi, I had a kidney stone. And about 5 weeks ago the doctors broke it into small pieces by laser in a hospital. A lot of tiny tiny pieces of the stone came out. Now I have serious burning pain in my urethra. I went to my family doctor. They checked by ultra sound the bladder. They did not find anything. Still my urethra is burning. I don t know why. Is there a way to make the pain go away?
* There can be urethral mucosa surface erosion via the passage of stone fragments after the laser therapy.
* A diagnostic cystoscopy is best measurable tool for the evaluation of the internal severity of the case and manage accordingly.
* My guidelines till that period would be
- more liquids orally
- cranberry pills
- hygienic care of genitals
- avoidance of sex if active
- analgesic as diclofenac or Ibuprofen which will help to relieve possible inflammation underlying
- vitamin c chewable tablets with urinary alkaliser as citro soda or potassium citrate solution.
