What Causes Pain In The Tailbone After Intercourse?

Hi my partner and I had intervourse two days ago and during intercourse I could feel his penis touching my tailbone which now is extremely painful. It seemed to have eased off, but after teaching a zumba class this morning it has really inflamed to such a state that I can barely walk or sit? What could be wrong with it and what should I do to make it better and ease the pain. Thanx in advance.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on your description it appears that you could be having nerve compression in the vertebral column, which might have been aggravated by physical activity.
Kindly take an X-ray of the lower vertebra along with pelvis to know what could be the reason for it.
If there is no obvious lesion present, you need to do the following to overcome it.
1. Take analgesic with muscle relaxant combination Tablet. Ibuprofen with Chloroxazone, after food.
2. Ice pack application on the back for 10 to 15 minutes thrice daily.
3. Local application of analgesic cream over the affected area.
4. Abstaining from sexual and other physical activities for at least 3 weeks to give adequate rest for the affected tissues to heal.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
