Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain In The Right Hip And Constipation?
I am having pain in lower right side at my hip. It is a burning pain and has been easing up when I lye down. I had a very hard fall about a week ago and landed on my tail bone resulting in pack pain at first I attributed it to that but now I feel that it might be a separate issue. I have some constipation and some problems urinating. It does ease up when I lye down but tonight it seems to be taking longer.
I think the hip pain is due to the trauma you had when you fell on your tailbone. You will need to take some paracetamol and ibuprofen to help with the pain. As for the constipation you will need to drink plenty of fluids and make sure you take some fiber supplements in the pharmacy like metamucil daily.
If you see no improvement with the above or you notice any worsening, please see your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
