What Causes Pain In The Ribs And Tingling Sensation?

I woke up this morning with rib pain. Felt fine when went to bed. First, I thought I had fallen asleep with my arm over my head and laid mostly on my right side where pain is, causing my arm shoulder and side to fall asleep but did not have tingling. Was tough to breath, short breaths, almost like broken rib. Took ibuprofen and that helped only feeling a little stiff by late morning. After lunch had basically same episode of sharp pain in rib area on the right side, managed to get under control a bit and just took 2 more ibuprofen. Could I have broken a rib sleeping on my side? Other cause for pain?

Hi,

Sleeping on a side doesn’t cause breaking of running so be relaxed but we do have to find out where the pain is from. I would advise you to get yourself examined as this pain could be radiated pain from some other organ.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshita,
