What Causes Pain In The Radial Nerve?

I think my radial nerve is causing me pain. I saw a neurologist an he told me that my nerve is slowing down. The doctor was one of those that don t really explain things to you. He was not explicit about it. So I m wondering what I should expect about this, or if there s anything that I can do. Other than taking pain medication. Thank you
