What Causes Pain In The Lungs While Breathing?

I have recently had strep two week ago and now i have some other flu so when I breath deeply it hurts my lungs and I can only have half a breath and when I cough it hurts and it is continuous and no muscus comes out and when I breath out it instantly makes me cough I feel like I m dieing what do I do?

Hi! I had gone through you concern and if I were your treating doctor i would do some examination such as auscultatin your lungs and maybe a chest a ray .
You may have complication of streptococus pneumonia , you problem breathing shows that your may have pleurisy (pleuritis -inflamacion of pleura or pleural effusion ( liquid between 2 leave it pleura ) .If you have effusion it could be necessary to do an x-ray and a punction to analyse that. Your doctor may prescribe some painkiller such Ibuprofen for the pain for 2 weeks , 3times a day , if you have only pleurisy or antibiotic if you have bacterial pleural effusion.. Try to take a position that makes you have less pain.
