What Causes Pain In The Hip And Knee After An Achilles Tendon Injury?

Hello My question to is about hip and knee pain almost constant after Achilles tendon injury. I had surgical repair 12 years ago. The area was struck by metal ,seen by ortho who thinks is tendinitis I completed physical therapy- however the left leg it is not the same. I experience pain at Achilles area,the calf area feels tight,and know the knee and hip pain of same side almost constant burning type - I am 58 yr old Thank You!

Hello

I would recommend you to massage your back of leg and thigh with a tennis ball. This will help improve blood circulation in that area and also will relax the muscles in addition to removing some muscle fiber adhesion's that form after an injury.
