What Causes Pain In The Gums After Putting Dentures?

I got a full set of dentures a month ago, everything has,healed fine, then today I feel this small pain, on the top front gum, under the denture, I took it out, and I have a , what looks like a pimple, white, and it's a lil swollen, and is irated while denture is on. What is,that ? And do I need to go back in to my dentist?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain there is a possibility that there is some sharp area over the tissue surface of your denture that might be rubbing over the mucosa inside mouth and it is leading to inflammation and ulceration of the mucosa..

Yes, you should consult your Dentist and get evaluated so that he can check the denture and if there are any sharp areas then he will trim it and make it smooth to prevent further injury to the mucosa..

As of now it will be better to avoid wearing the denture to prevent further irritation..
If it is painful you can apply Lidocaine jelly over it and do cool compresses over it..
