What Causes Pain In The Groin Area On The Left Side?

I am having lower left pain in my groin, lower pelvic area. Feels like the pressure is also making my back ache with pain down left leg. Have been told I have diverticula. I also feel like I have a sore throat and might be feverish. Wondering if it could be diverticulitis.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Diverticulitis may cause pain in the abdomen/groin area and a fever but would not be associated with sore throat.

Acute sore throat is usually due to acute infection, usually viral and resolves within a few days. If the sore throat is severe or last longer than 3 to 4 days then it maybe bacterial and require antibiotics (if taking antibiotics for the diverticulitis, they may cover a bacterial sore throat).

You may need to be reviewed regarding the pelvic and back pain

I hope this helps
