What Causes Pain In The Extremities And Tinnitus While Treating Colon Cancer?
I have stage 4 colon cancer. I have had the lower intestine removed followed by 10 chemo treatments. I also have parkinsons. My cea levels remain at 7. I fight pain all over my body. The chemo left me with neurapthy. I can not walk. I can t feel my hands or feet and my ears ring all the time. Oxycodone helps. I take 6 pills a day. I just want some sort of quality of life. To get my medication is like a fight. Sometimes I take more as my bowel movements are like having labor pains. I am a true paintient who needs pain meds. What can I do?
From the details provided, it seems you are facing chemotherapy-related side effects, I am really sorry I do not have a straightforward reply to your query.
I think you should show to a palliative care expert, who deals with similar patients and addresses such complaints.
In order to control your pain, there are options such as patches which can be applied to your skin and help in controlling pain for as long as 7 days. For neuropathy too certain medications such as pregabalin is available which may reduce the severity of your neuropathic pain.
Please discuss your complaints with your treating oncologist/ palliative expert.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
