What Causes Pain In The Ear?

I had a tooth out nearly 3 weeks ago and everything was brilliant. Atlast my rotton tooth was gone. On Saturday I was chatting to my friend In the morning when suddenly my right ear was a little saw feeling. Since then I have had awful deep pain in my ear? The thing is I dont know what to do and also it will last for ten minutes at a time then suddenly go. When I get this ear pain (whatever it is) I cant cope and cry then within a short time it just suddenly stops and I feel great. What could this be and is there something I could try.

Hi
whenever tooth ache comes it will transmitted to same side ear also. We call it as referred otalgia. So nothing much to worry. Take analgesics for 5 days. you will be free of ear pain. If Still persist then you can visit a ent surgeon.
