What Causes Pain In The Bladder And Cloudy Urination?

I have bladder pain with no infection. Pressure also. I have had issues for. About a year. Usually gets better after a bowel movement. No blood. Smelly, foamy urine at times. I take cranberry supplements and Trimethoprim once a day as a preventative. I have fibromyalgia and have read that it can cause bladder pain. I am also type 2 diabetic.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I have read your description and understand your concern.
It appears from your description that you could be having mild infection of the urinary bladder termed 'cystitis'.
Also, since you are diabetic, cloudy urine could be also due to problem at the kidney level termed 'diabetic nephropathy'.
Kindly get the following investigations done.
1. Urine routine examination and microscopy.
2. Urine culture and sensitivity.
3. Ultrasound scan of abdomen and pelvis.
Kindly consult Urologist with the report for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
Regards,
