What Causes Pain In The Biceps And Elbow Area?

My dad has this pain in his arm around the bicep and elbow area. He is 90 years old and very weak, so he does not exercise,. He uses a walker and even pulling himself up hurts his arm. He has no other pain anywhere in his body and this came out of no where. YYYY@YYYY

The pain in biceps and elbow area can occur due to two main casues:
1. Bicepetal tendon inflammation, i.e. tendinitis which is a very common finding in old age.
2. Biecpetal muscle belly tear, which might have occured even due to sudden trauma, which may have gone unnoticed. It might have occured while pulling himself out of bed.

Consult a PMR Physician in your vicinity. Do not try to treat on your own or leaving it, can damage the muscle and further pain may ensue.
