What Causes Pain In The Anus?

i have experienced pain in my bottom when going to the toilet for months, at first i thought it would be piles so i have started using pile cream(germeloids) for the last month. this has not worked and for the last week it has been so uncomfortable that i cant sit down. it also hurts when i am in the sitting position...bent knees when lying down, sitting on toilet etc. thepain can only be described like a stomach feels when its extremely bloated...like pressure in my anus. it no longer hurts more when i go to the toilet apart from the pressure feeling as i am in the sitting position, i have a doctors appointment on 2nd september but would be really grateful to receive your advise and posible diagnosis . thanks

Hello,

Pain at the anus may be due to infection or fissure in any or fistula or proctitis etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Use tablet pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks.

Use mucopain gel locally. If symptoms not improved please consult your surgeon he will examine and treat you accordingly

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
