General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

This is not to be neglected and the condition warrants the underlying lesion of the gastrointestinal tract which may be gastric/duodenal ulcer, inflammatory lesions of the bowels, portal hypertension, tumors of the intestines, liver disorders associated, and others.

Requires thorough evaluation in the form of history, physical examination, laboratory data, ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis, upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and CT scan of abdomen as per the decision of the consultant.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel
