What causes pain in testicle and stomach?

I have obscure and intermittent testicular pain and some pain in the lower abdomen. I have no burning on urination, no urgency, no discharge. I have been on a course of doxycycline, azithromycin, and currently on my 5 th week of ciprofloxacin with about a 50% improvement. Diagnosis was non specifice prostatitis, and it seems I should be much better by now. Where to go from here??

Hi,

That’s too much antibiotics for too long. Most types of prostatitis in younger men are NOT caused by bacteria. Instead relaxation techniques, prostate massages and herbal supplements like bromelain might be of help. Please see another local urologist and discuss this with him.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Yousef Abbas, General & Family Physician
