What Causes Pain In Shoulder Joint?

My wife is suffering from pains at left shoulder joint. our ortho Dr. told that it is not a artharitis pain, rather it might be due to increased sugar level. my wife is diabetic patient . her sugar level is 126 fasting and 160 p.p., as she takes medicines prescribed by our Dr. is the said shoulder pain is related with increased sugar level ? and how it will be cured ?

I have gone through your query. Your problem is most likely peri arthritis. It can come diabetics also. An orthopedic examination is well appreciated in this to rule out the condition and proper therapy. For such condition in my patients I advise NSAIDs like aceclofenac and physiotherapy. I also advise them keep the arm away from body while sleeping by placing a pillow between chest and arm. If pain is more then local corticosteroid or anaesthetic injections will be helpful also.
