I am 32 5 3 127lbs. When I cough, sometimes I feel a pain in one or both of my ovaries. My Dr has told me that I have cysts on my ovaries, and they are normal. Does this have anything to do with the pain I feel? I just worry a lot because my grandmother had ovarian cancer and my cousin had cervical cancer. Thanks for your input.
Hello, I have gone through your query and understood the concern. I would ask you to have regular screening tests as you have a family history of cancer of the reproductive organs. This helps to allay your fears and get early medical attention if needed. The pain you are currently experiencing could be nothing more than a muscle strain secondary to the pressure exerted while coughing. Large cysts can cause pain due to stretching effects ; pain is also felt due to infection or rupture/torsion etc., in which case it is more severe and associated with sympof shock. This does not seem to be the case here. Nevertheless, please see your consultant for a proper evaluation. Hope this helps.
