What Causes Pain In Legs And Arms Despite Taking Vitamin B12 Shots?

My legs ache. Doctor has done blood work, said my Vitamin D and B12 was low. Said it is ok now after taking vitamins and B12 shots. But at times it is all I can do to try to walk. My arms are also weak. I am 55 years old. Always been a hard worker and active lifestyle. N But now it is a struggle to do daily activites. General practice Doctor doesn t seem to be concerned. We don t know where to go now.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your experience with pain at your legs and arm in spite of taking vitamin B12 I am suggesting that you have developed the following differential diagnosis

Myositis
Tendonitis
Osteoarthritis
Rheumatoid arthritis
Leukemia
Polyneuropathy

In view of this please do the following test Blood culture
Serum creatine kinase
Serum electrolytes
Rheumatoid factor
Complete blood count
ANA electrophoresis

Meanwhile please see an orthopaedic specialist with the results and for further clinical assessment and adequate drug prescription

Meanwhile please take some analgesic pending appointment

I hope this helps Regards
