What Causes Pain In Leg Post Repair Of Spiral Compound Fracture?

Many yrs.ago I had a spiral compound fx.of my of right leg.I have a rod,& 4 screws in my leg...It has been hurting for awhile,but it s been really bad for about a month...I went to the Ortho.Dr.,& he sent me for bold work,for a Cbc,& I know to other blood work.I am so sorry that I am confused,I have been in the Medical field most of my life,anyway, he sent me for a bone scan,& when the head of Nuclear Med.sent me for a lot of x-rays...so,yesterday,I called the Dr. who sent me for the bone scan,said, all of your hardware has to come out but,you have a infection somewhere ,so I want to send u for another scan to find out,where the infection is.. But,now I do believe I might have sepsis....I have had a slight case of it before,I think I might have it again....Can you please give me your advis?

Hello,

The evidence of inflammation focus is definite from severe leg pain and malfunctioning of the external appliances used to fix the bone fractures. Overall, it requires removal of screws once the general condition of patient is stable and bone healing has taken place already.
