What Causes Pain In Leg After Angiogram?

My husband (43yrs old) had an angiogram on Tuesday with an angioseal to close. Femoral artery. Today he stood up from the recliner suddenly, and is now having pain. No bruising, no swelling, etc. How likely is it that standing up too quickly can compromise the seal?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that the pain is due to irritation of the area but it is not likely that this would cause any significant problems.

The skin and underlying tissue would still be irritated from the procedure so he should try to avoid any movements that would aggravate it.

I hope this helps
