What Causes Pain In Hips And Thighs Along With Weight Loss?

Hi my husband has been sick for about 8 days. it started last week with sore hip and thigh. he thought it was sciatica or pulled muscle or he damaged his hip ( he has a history of frayed labrum on his right hip). He started to have a temp even though he was taking ibuprofen 600 mg every 6-8 hours He went to his doctor and he ordered an X-ray and urine . The urine showed wbc s. X-ray shows arthritis. The Dr said wait until frida and he has ordered blood work no. he lost 15 lbs in 8-9 days
