no thank you, I feel uncomfortable with the process Ok, I have had pain in the esophagus while swallowing hamburgers and apple sometimes. I also have a tickly cough sometimes. I read that I should take my large pills with lots of water at night and that I should give up coffee.
Hi, i do care for your concern. The symptoms suggest of gastro oesophegal reflux disease. I would advise to start on proton pump inhibitor and continue for 3 weeks duration, which will help. plenty of water and avoiding coffee will add to the help. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
Pain in esophagus or throat while swallowing is most commonly due to soreness of throat. This is due to bacterial infection of throat. You can do following remedies 1. Salt water gargle- Mix half tea spoon of salt in warm water & then you could gargle with it 3-4 times a day 2. you could take anti-inflammatory medicines like ibuprofen/acetaminophen, it will reduce pain in throat. 3. Sucking on a cough drop will help soothing of throat by increasing saliva production 4. Take liquid diet
You will start improving in 2-3 days
