What Causes Pain In Ear Holes When Ever I Wear Ear Rings?

Why does my earring hole hurt so much especially when I wear earrings? They re usually small size & I ve cleaned my earrings & the backings also. I usually wear earrings to keep from the hole closing, because they started closing up after not wearing earrings for a couple months. What are your recommendations?

Hi Dear ,

As per your qquery you have pain in ear holes on wearing ear rings . Well this is very common problem as sometimes skin of a person is sensitive from particular metal . This make wearing ear rings problematic overtime . I would suggest you to change your ear rings and try ear rings made of different metal . Apply little moisturizer daily or every time you wear ear rings . If problem persist then consult skin specialist for proper examination to rule out causes like skin infection . For now apply warm compresses , remove ear rings and keep them clean with diluted betadine.
