What Causes Pain In Ear Along With Constant Drainage Of Clear Liquid?

Hi there,

Recently my ear had been getting sore and my boyfriends mother was having a look at it and noticed it was leaking clear fluid. She helped me clean it and get rid of the fulid but now the inside of my ear is crusty and still leaking reguraly can you tell me what this could be?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain pain in ear along with fluid discharge can be due to infection in ear leading and crusty appearance is also due to it..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can be diagnostic..
In case of infection he can advise you antibiotics like Augmentin Oral, Anti-inflammatory painkiller like Aleve or Advil, Antibiotic ear drops like Gentamycin, Steroid ear drops and decongestant nasal spray..
Avoiding excessive water exposure to ears can help in faster resolution..
Manual drainage of the fluid from ears can also be done..
