I am a 75 year old female who has had a mastectomy on my left breast. However, this week I have been experiencing sharp pain in my right breast after I remove my bra.the pain is more severe when I bend over for any reason. I am having a gall bladder removal on Wednesday and don t know if I should call my oncologist.
noted history of mastectomy on the left, breast pain on the right breast area and current gallbladder pathology. the pain you're experiencing may be radiating or a reffered pain from your gallbladder pathology. but it is still best to consult a doctor, preferably a general surgeon, for physical examination and clinical evaluation. certain breast pathologies such as fibrocystic changes of the breast, fibromas and other breast lesions must also be ruled-out. diagnostics such as breast ultrasound and mammography may also be of help. management (medical and/or surgical if indications are found) will be directed accordingly.
hope this helps.
good day!!
