What Causes Pain In Bladder And Penis Head Of A Person With Prostatitis?

I have been diagnosed with Prostatitis as of three months ago. I went through two 8 week rounds of anti biotics.. cipro and something else. I have had my prostate checked twice, both my primary and urologist saying that it was a little boggy each. I had my urethra and bladder checked through a very painful process... there was nothing wrong according to the report. Yet I am still having symptoms... I still have bladder aches and pain at the tip of my penis... Could this be another condition? Also unrelated, but I have pain on my sternum and a couple of ribs where they connect (both left and right). Pain to the touch and when breathing. I fear something like MS. Please help. Thank You

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
Understand your concern
In chronic prostatitis there is inflammation of prostate gland. It generally associated with chronic pelvic syndrome. Slight enlargement and congestion in the prostate lead to pressor in urethra and lead to there is residul volume of urine can not be completely clear so more chance of cystitis (lower urinary tract) and stone formation. So pain in bladder occur. And infection may spread to urethra that lead to pain in penis head in penile urethra area. For that get the urine test done to rule out lower urinary tract infection and take proper treatment by consulting the urologist. Pain in sternum and a couple of ribs may be due to costochondritis, but exact diagnosis made by examination and investigations like chest x ray. take tablet ibuprufen , proper rest and avoid excertion & exercise.
Hope this may help you
Best regards
