What Causes Pain In Belly Button?

My boyfriend started having severe pain in his belly button about an hour ago. I have been reseaching online to hopefully find a cause for it. Could you help me? Oh and he said that the pain has moved straight down slightly below his belly button now.

Hello,

The radiating pain in the lower abdomen from the belly button indicates an intestine issue with terminal ileum, appendix, or others. In our clinic, we recommend undertaking an emergency ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis for further management guidelines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
