What Causes Pain Below The Knee Along With Burning Sensation Above The Knee?
I have had pain in my calf about 2 inches below my knee area for a few weeks whether walking or sitting. Then today I started having a burning pain about 2 inches above my knee straight up from the other site, but this only hurt while standing or walking. Now this evening, the burning has moved up about another 2 inches but again the burning is only when I am on my feet, standing or walking. Concerned that it might be a clot, never had one but I do have varicose veins.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain below the knee along with burning sensation above the knee . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like femoral nerve dysfunction , sciatica , fibromyalgia or meralgia paresthetica .The symptoms can also occur due to baker's cyst . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order nerve conduction test , electromyography and MRI Doctor may recommend surgical remove of growth , physical therapy , analgesic and application of heat . For now take proper rest , apply warm compresses and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
