What Causes Pain At Lower Abdomen After Menses?

Hi Doctor, We are a married couple, and made a gap for children for 2 years, and now need of a child, and we are trying for it for the past 6 months, but no result. On the previous times, we used condoms. My wife is getting her menstrual cycle properly without any issues. We are doing regular sex at alternate days and repeating immediate after the menstrual cycle. Only thing noticed that she is regularly getting a pain at lower right/left abdomen one day duration after 10 days from menses... Please instruct us....

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
If she has regular 28-30 day cycles, she should be ovulating about 14th -16th day of the cycle. Ovulation can lead to some amount of pain sometimes. If the pain is persistent, I would suggest visiting a gynecologist for a proper evaluation and suggestion. Else, regular intercourse around mid-cycle should be fruitful in a few months. If you cannot conceive naturally even after one year of sincere trial, please get investigated further. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
